The “Wing House” is named after its winged plan form and soaring roof reminiscent of a bird about to take flight.

Winner of the 2022 Design Matters (WA) Building Design of the Year, this country home fits into its rural setting with a sophisticated sustainability and clever use of natural materials.

The southern entry gives little away with its hard charcoal blade walls, but on entry the landscaped vista is exposed through extensive northern glazing, blurring distinction between inside and out. Designed in two wings to allow for visitors to have their privacy, each room opens onto its own private deck. Bathrooms are resort style with picture windows giving views to nature from the free standing baths.
