John established Arcologic in 2000, bringing together a lifelong interest in design, an appreciation of the natural environment and extensive experience working across four continents.
For John, good design begins with listening. Understanding how people live, what matters to them and what makes their site special is the starting point for every home.
His approach combines creative thinking with practical experience, exploring possibilities while keeping an eye on budgets, buildability and long-term performance.
Sustainability has always been central to John's work. Rather than treating it as an optional extra, he believes it should be a natural part of good design — creating homes that are comfortable, energy efficient and suited to their environment.
Over the years, this approach has earned Arcologic numerous design awards and, more importantly, the trust of clients who value thoughtful design and a collaborative process.
